Sahkar Taxi and NeGD Unite to Launch Bharat Taxi

Sahkar Taxi Cooperative Limited has joined hands with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) to introduce Bharat Taxi, India’s first cooperative-based national ride-hailing platform. This partnership marks a powerful step towards strengthening India’s cooperative and digital growth story.

Rooted in the Digital India vision, Bharat Taxi aims to deliver mobility that is affordable, transparent, and truly people-driven. It is designed to bring convenience and dignity to every ride, connecting citizens across cities and villages through a single trusted platform. The official launch is planned for December 2025.

It will ensure smooth integration with DigiLocker, UMANG, and API Setu, creating a connected and secure digital ecosystem. NeGD will also guide the creation of a citizen-first interface that supports multiple Indian languages, helping users from both urban and rural regions access services easily. Every design element will reflect inclusivity, accessibility, and trust.
