Sahakar Taxi Will Launch in December 2025 with a People-First Model

Sahakar Taxi isn’t just a ride. It’s a movement. A movement born from the belief that drivers deserve dignity, passengers deserve fair pricing, and communities deserve a transportation system that uplifts rather than exploits.

For years, ride-hailing platforms have placed profits above people. Drivers struggle under hidden fees and unpredictable pay. Passengers face inflated surge pricing and poor accountability. We’ve all seen it. We’ve all felt it. Sahakar Taxi rises from this shared frustration with a simple promise: to return power where it belongs in the hands of the people who drive us forward.

Backed by eight of India’s most respected cooperatives, including Amul, IFFCO, and NABARD, Sahakar Taxi operates under the Multi-State Co-operative Societies Act with an authorized capital of ₹300 crore. This isn’t a venture capital play. It’s a people-first platform owned by the very drivers who power it.

I still remember the day I met one of our founding drivers in Ahmedabad. He told me, with tears in his eyes, “For the first time, I’m not just working for a company. I’m part of it.

Built by Drivers. Owned by Drivers.

Sahakar Taxi gives drivers what they’ve always been denied ownership. Every driver has the opportunity to become a shareholder. After six months of service, they can purchase five shares worth ₹100 each and join the cooperative as a full member.

This ownership comes with real rights not just token perks. Drivers vote on decisions, share in profits, and benefit from full social security coverage. From medical support to retirement plans, the system is designed with long-term wellbeing in mind.

Unlike private platforms, Sahakar Taxi will never run on surge pricing or algorithmic manipulation. Our pricing model is clear, fixed, and transparent designed to respect both your pocket and the person behind the wheel.

Backed by India’s Strongest Cooperatives

The strength of Sahakar Taxi lies in its foundation. It is supported by:

  • National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC)
  • Anand Milk Union
  • National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED)
  • National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD)
  • Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative (IFFCO)
  • Krishak Bharati Cooperative (KRIBHCO)
  • National Dairy Development Board (NDDB)
  • National Co-operative Exports (NCEL)

Each has contributed ₹10 crore in seed capital, empowering us to launch the service with integrity, independence, and no strings attached.

Launching Soon in Delhi, Gujarat, and Maharashtra

We begin where demand is high and trust is needed most. In December 2025, Sahakar Taxi will roll out operations in Delhi, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. Around 400 drivers will join the initial fleet, each trained, equipped, and connected through our upcoming ride-sharing app.

Built in collaboration with top tech partners and institutions like the International Institute of Information Technology, Bengaluru, our platform will offer passengers a clean, efficient, and trustworthy booking experience that matches and eventually outperforms the biggest names in the industry.

Creating Jobs in India’s Heartlands

Where other platforms centralize operations in metro cities, we go the other way. Sahakar Taxi will establish call centers and support teams in Tier-II and Tier-III cities, creating employment in places that need it most.

This isn’t just about cabs. It’s about economic justice, digital inclusion, and giving young people in smaller towns a way to participate in India’s digital economy without leaving their homes behind.

We Don’t Chase Profits. We Build Futures.

At Sahakar Taxi, we reject the profit-first model. Every rupee earned flows back into the cooperative through driver payouts, community development, and systems that protect those on the road.

No investor boards. No billionaire founders. Just working-class people building something of their own.

If you’re a passenger tired of exploitation, or a driver looking to reclaim your dignity, you’re not alone. Sahakar Taxi was built for you.

Coming Soon. Stay Connected.

We’re getting ready to change the way India moves. If you want to be part of it as a rider, a driver, or a partner the door is open.
